SPS is developing a research program aimed at realizing,
for the first time in the field of spinal surgery,
a prosthesis that is not limited to the solution of a mechanical problem, but is an active tool that promotes patient care
in the post-operative phase.

We are currently studying cages capable of releasing drugs and bone regrowth factors in a gradual and perfectly controlled manner.
This is made possible by the contribution of nanotechnology and pharmacology, biology and mechanical engineering, physics and materials science.

The launch of these products
will bring an absolute novelty
in the panorama of surgery of the spinal column.
